*What is the most exciting game/rivalry at your school?

As MVCA is still a very new school compared to the others in our league, we do not have a long standing rivalry. However, one of the most exciting games of the year for our school is usually our football game against Hillcrest Academy. In the past, both teams have met for dinner and a bonding activity the night before the game to spread the message of Christ's plan. It has been a very fun event to take part in every year.

*Overall, what is your favorite sport to cover and why?

Overall, my favorite sport to cover is football. Football is my busiest season of the year and it is where I get to be the most hands on with my athletes. I love getting to be a part of the process with these athletes from the time of their injury to the moment they run back onto the field!

*What are some of your favorite ATC memories so far?

One of my favorite ATC memories so far was actually in college. I got the chance to observe surgeries from inside the OR my senior year. It was such a cool experience to be able to see that Athletic Trainers can really be used in a multitude of settings.

*What do you love about your current position?

I love that my current position at MVCA feels like home. Growing up, I also went to small Christian schools so when this opportunity presented itself to me it felt like an easy decision. This position has allowed me to not only do the job that I love, but also to grow my faith while helping my athletes do the same.

*Anything new or exciting coming up career/life wise?

I am currently planning a trip to New Orleans this summer for the National Athletic Trainers Association Convention.

*What is one ‘dream’ sports medicine/biomechanical equipment addition you would put to use if money wasn’t an option and why.

One ‘dream’ sports medicine/biomechanical equipment addition I would put to use if money wasn’t an option would be either a larger Athletic Training Facility to be better able to serve my athletes or a golf cart/ gator to be able to get water to and from practices a little bit easier.
